Here is Sage.
All dressed up.
She's heading out to Show & Teach in the morning with Jack. I think Jack is more excited than anyone about it. She did great in the 3rd grade earlier this year, and I am hoping she will do just as well tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.
Halle went to the eye doctor tonight and we discovered that she does, indeed, need glasses. We browsed and tried frames for over an hour. I think they will be really cute. She'll only be blind for another week!
She surprised me with this awesome Valentine.
Greg has an appointment with the Orthopedic Surgeon tomorrow about amputating his other leg. I am trying to get all the little stuff done, eye doctor, cap my tooth, etc, before we have that to deal with.
He seems thrilled with the idea of getting rid of his other leg. I think it's kind of like the suicidal high you get once you decide to actually do it. He's really excited to be done. This really will be the end of all his foot problems. The other leg is doing awesome and causes no trouble or grief. This one causes nothing but pain and problems. He has given up YEARS laying in bed so his feet will heal. It's an awesome opportunity to get some quality of life back. We are set up in a great rambler, with an electric scooter, and double insurance. It's a great time. I also think he feels like he has a bit of power back. It's his decision. He's calling the shots.
Don't get me wrong. It's going to be hard. Everything worth doing is hard, and we've done this before. We are well aware of what we are in for. It means narcotics, and home health. It means crutches, casts, and rehab. It means I'll have to have the potty chair back, heaven help me. It's all good. There's nothing we can't do together, my Valentine and I.
Nothing.
