I can take a lot of gross stuff. And I can do a lot of hard things. And I am surprisingly strong.
So imagine my shock last summer when I freaked out putting worms on a fishing hook. It's a worm. And I am from Wyoming! The shame. Did I tell anyone that when I poked the hook through the worm, and it had a seizure from the pain, I almost puked?
NO!
What did I do?
I went to the gas station and bought salmon eggs.
So now imagine my shock when I move to my new house and discovered that it was built on a pile of worms. I didn't know this when I moved in. It only became obvious when it rained. I have a cement pad by the back door and when it rains, the worms from miles around come to lay on my cement pad. I discovered it quite by accident. It was very late on a Thursday night. It was raining. I was laying in bed and remembered with a start: Oh my! Garbage day is tomorrow!
So I went and took the garbage can to the curb. Barefooted.
The next morning I discovered all the worms. Some were smashed, in the shape of footprints.
Oh the horror.
So it rained yesterday and I just now went to take pictures of all the worms for you. Here they are:
Sage came out to help. As you can see. While we were out there she drank a puddle of water dry. I noticed, but didn't care. She's a weird dog.
I came inside, and while I was uploading these photos she horked up a worm. On the carpet. Next to my foot.
I guess it was in the puddle.
I suppose I had better buck up. After all, in the end, my body will be completely consumed by worms dontcha know.
Ugh.

ha ha ha ha!!!
I hate worms too! Do remember at Utah State on the sidewalks by the Quad after a rainstorm there used to always be a million worms....I always remember seeing them on the way to that Child Development class we took together...
Although, I think we only went to that class once so maybe it was just one time I saw all those worms. who knows?
