While it's true that we can't eliminate all the people in our lives who drain us, I think the point is to more fully appreciate those who inspire you.
Which is why I am so grateful. I don't know why I have been so blessed to have my life enriched with so many wonderful friends and family. They uplift me, support me, offer care and concern. They reach out to me when I need them. They validate me, inspire me, and laugh at my jokes. I am getting better and better at having joy and peace in my everyday life, despite whatever trials are happening. I am learning to do it from all of you.
To all the wonderful people in my life, those I work with in the Primary presidency, my friends- old and new, the mothers of my children's friends, my high school friends, college friends, and married friends, my wonderful sister, the women who have loved and cherished my babies, the friends I call at 2 am, my parents (a hundred times over) and brother, my neighbors in all of my neighborhoods, the handful of besties that I treasure...... Thank you. Thanks for standing beside me and inspiring me to be a better person every day.
