Want to know what else I learned today?
Little boys will refuse to eat Princess Leia cupcakes because she's a girl.
One more thing?
It's disappointing all around when the first kid breaks the pinata.
Halle and I have been planning this party for over a month. Every year Jack thinks he wants a friend party, but when it comes time, he chickens out. So he's never had one. And that's just sad. So we planned a doosy. Also, I learned that even if you only send the invitations out the DAY BEFORE, and you beg and plead on said invitation to KEEP THE SECRET, 7 year old boys will be unable to do it. Simply unable.
And now, for you viewing pleasure, I present:
Jack's 8th Birthday Party!!!
The big surprise.

Jack was still surprised. Heck, I knew what was coming, and still I jumped and let out a little gasp when I saw all those children jumping out with clubs on the video.
You are such a trooper (I'll take a few of those cupcakes...)! Everything looks amazing and it looks like everyone had a blast, even the birthday boy who didn't want a party! Love you guys!
That is awesome!!!! You are so creative! I almost wish I had a boy so I could do a Star Wars party like that!
The cupcakes are brilliant. It looked super fun.
So cute and the cupcakes are brilliant, i agree. Also I love his reaction to the surprise!
you are such a good mom, jen! Love it! And I also read the colonoscopy and kitten stories posted above this post. Oh you always make me laugh...except I didn't laugh about the kittens. That's sad :(
