Heaven help me, it's time for part 2 already.
So I have a great friend named Eric. I'm sure you all know about him. We've been good friends for a long time and I feel that every mormon mommy should have a gay friend. It gives you perspective.
One thing he's always said is "Jenalee! You need a cell phone!"
and I say:
"No! No I don't."
He wants to text me.... and I don't like texting. I did it once two years ago on Cameron's phone. I texted my brother, whom I call Bubba, to remind him to bring the canoe to the lake. It wouldn't let me type what I wanted to type. It wanted to read my mind and type what it THOUGHT I wanted to type. So the text read:
"Cuba! Bring the cannon!"
It was concluded that I would never own a cell phone just to spite Eric. And I was fine with that.
Until yesterday. My parents got a new cell phone plan and added on an extra line for a ridiculously small amount of money. For me. So guess what? NOW I have a cell phone. I called Eric and told him I would text him a message! So exciting!
And it went like this:
Me: Hello?
Me: Ummmm.... Hello
Him: Who is this?
Me: Who do you think?
Him: I have no idea.
Me: I am in no mood for this game.
Him: Ok. I don't know anyone with a 385 area code. I'm signing off.
Me: See ya
Him: You have a wrong phone number.
Me: You are so ruining this for me. And my first time texting too.
I was annoyed and so I went to bed early. This afternoon at work I get a call. It's from Eric and he has the nerve to say: "Why didn't you text me last night?"
I was instantly annoyed.
After much arguing, I looked at my contacts.
I had turned two numbers around.
So the lesson is this: Texting is in fact stupid, and it will make you look stupid to total strangers. And when you don't do something for spite, at least you are the winner. Because if you make an *ss out of yourself and your friend finds out, then HE'S the winner.
And being the winner is the most important.
PS- Don't expect me to answer this cell phone. In the words of my wise mother I say:
I pay for a cell phone for MY convenience, not yours. :)
PEACE OUT!

Hahahaha, I love it. I hate texting, but sometimes it's very convenient! :)
