Dipped our toes in the mighty Mississip
Went on a cruise on a old-time paddle boat,
Watched my sister make a dandy braided rope!
Rode on a wagon pulled by an ox,
Toured all the houses, you know there are lots!
Drove through weather- wind, rain, and hail,
Had a tearful visit at the Historic Carthage Jail.
Made Mama sick on St. Louis BBQ,
I'm so glad I went and spent some time with YOU!
