What I like

Now that I've been on a grand total of THREE hikes, I am starting to have some preferences.  I want to hike in the mountains, where it's cool, and where there are lots of trees and shade.  And a stream would be nice. 

Last night was not quite the ideal hike. 

We did the Quail Trail Loop.

It was shady, had a lot of trees...

but it was BARELY in the foothills.  Not nearly high enough in the mountains to be cool enough.  It was just under a mile, so we had planned on doing the loop twice, but I was TOO HOT.  And I was having an allergy attack. 

Not our favorite hike, but there's going to be some hikes like that.  At least we hiked!
