I HATE Instacares. I hate them very much. Last night my foot was really hurting and I became a bawling, moping, falling apart human by this afternoon when I called for back up. Who does a girl like me call for back-up? Her best friend Eric and yes, her mommy. Mommy first of course. Eric told me he would work for me if I went to get my foot looked at. I agreed. So we went to see my favorite foot doctor of all time, Dr. Gibson. I love this man. He is very kind and really cares about our family. We have seen him weekly for >2 years for Greg. Today was the first time I got to sit in the big chair. Oh happy day. :(
Me: It got this weird swollen thing right away after I fell. The Instacare doctor said it might be blood.
Dr. G: (Smiles and nods)
Me: It's not broken though. I feel like a baby just coming here. They took four x-rays so I know there's not a break.
Dr. G: That HE could see.
Me: Honestly, I don't know why I came if for something like a sprained foot.
Dr. G: Lets get some more x-rays.
20 minutes later:
Dr. G: I told you it was broken.
Me: IT IS NOT!!!
Dr. G: Look right here (points to an obvious break. Even Jack can see it.)
Me: Oh.
Dr. G: And look a right next to it, see that crack?
Me: Yes.......I guess I see it.
Dr. G: (Pats my leg and smiles) Now what are we going to do about it?
Me: (Sulking silence)
Dr. G: Lets put you in a boot instead of a cast so you can get in the bathtub. And I'll bring you back on December 9th to see if it's healing. If not, I can go in there and put a screw in.
OH JOY! Two breaks, and in just the right spot that they sometimes don't heal. Geez. It just keeps getting better and better over here at the Garrett house.
Who wants to come and vacuum AND mop?
Maybe I should sue the Instacare for not knowing what a "facture blister" looks like and not being able to find a break on an x ray that my five year old can spot. And maybe with that money I could hire a maid!!!!!!

Oh it is so sister....We won't be up for Thanksgiving unfortunately. We will be up the first week in January. We're staying in Murray temporarily until we find work and get a place of our own. I am so excited to hang out with you guys and see your kids!
p.s. I will vacume and mop AND sweep your floor. Even if your foot is better. Just because I love you so much.

You and I share a Great Hate for Instacares. I feel they are dropping places for Doctors whom don't have the ability or bedside manners to have Real Practices. I hear Eric is Great with a Mop...Miss you...Hope it heals soon.

I told Jenalee her foot was broken in two spots the minute I saw it. And she didn't believe it, because I don't have an "MD" behind my name! But, guess what? I have a 'SEXXY' in FRONT of my name, and that should be good enough for YOU.
